Make Everyday Count

Updated: Jan 3, 2021

Rising from my night's sleep, I am amazed at the wonders of our God as I beheld this beautiful day that the Lord has made and I am so eager to step into it and make every second count. I have learned by experience not to count the things I do but rather to do the things that count because time is irredeemable. If you change the way you use your time, you ultimately change your life. Knowing fully well that success in life does not happen in the thinking stage but rather in the action stage, I am reminded that no one is ever known for what they plan to do, but heroes are known and are celebrated for what they have done, no matter how minuscule.

In Acts 10:38, the bible reminds us of how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil because God was with him.

TIP:

What good have you purposed in your heart to do today? How do you intend to make every second of your life count today?

It's a New Beginning, a Fresh Start

Each new day that God gives us is a brand new opportunity to live our lives purposefully and make every second of our day count. Bishop TD Jakes once said, "If you can't figure out your purpose, figure out your passion for your passion will lead you right into your purpose. " When you know the reason for your existence, the reason why God wakes you up every morning, it should definitely affect the decisions you make and compel you to be painstakingly intentional about your choices and actions.

Cause and Effect

Remember the principle of " cause and effect ". What you sow is what you reap. The measure you give is the measure you receive. Proverbs 24:33-34 says A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, and poverty will come upon you like a robber and want like an armed man. Proverbs 24:33‭-‬34 ESV

Procrastination is one of your worst enemies. Do not put away till tomorrow the good you can and ought to do today.

Do your Due Diligence and Be Patient

Do not worry or be afraid when the seed you sow does not bear fruits immediately. All seeds are not the same and the yield of every seed is proportional to the amount of conscientious effort expended in the act of sowing. Some seeds sprout overnight and last only a little while. Other seeds such as an acorn take as much as 7 years to sprout and grow to become mighty oak trees that live hundreds of years. Please be patient while you do your due diligence. GOD in His faithfulness will definitely cause your seed to grow if you water it diligently... Now go and get it.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9.
