Today's Topic is: God's VIP.

“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.  But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him.  Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God.  Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Luke 12:4‭-‬7 NIV.

Discussion Question: Does God have time for me?

I recall a true story I read a while ago about an African polygamist who had more than 45 children from his numerous wives. Luckily, he had the financial means to adequately take care of them all, but what he lacked was the brainpower to remember their names; and the memory to recognize them and correctly identify them as his. To compound his problem, as his children grew and began to use mobile phones - you guessed it - he had no idea which child he was speaking to whenever he managed to dial a number. It's akin to having a diary with a bunch of phone numbers and names but no idea who the actual individuals were. And that was a loving father with just about 45 kids.

Now, God is our ever-loving heavenly Father and He has over 6 billion of us, and yet He knows with unrivaled accuracy and dexterity, not just our individual full names, but also, the very number of the hair on our heads. With the proliferation of mobile devices and now, digital meeting platforms such as Zoom and WebEx; about 3 billion of us could be calling and speaking to Him at the exact same time, from different geographical locations around the world, yet He is capable of taking each call, listening to each person and giving each person His full undivided and undiluted attention at the same time without compromise on call quality or service degradation. Imagine the noise from crazy football fans when a goal is scored, the cumulative intensity of the vibration of excited vocal cords producing incoherent sound waves at varying frequencies all at once, yet every vocal sound of prayer we utter is the only one God hears, like He is in a room with you,  one-on-one. With God, there is no such thing as background noise, latency, or static. God is capable of hearing each prayer and answering it perfectly. 

Do you know why?

Because He is very interested in you. Because you are so important to Him. Because you are God's VIP, and masterpiece. Yes, You.

Please accept my congratulations. You are really SOMEBODY and yes, you have the right to feel very important because you truly are.

This was what puzzled the heart of King David when he asked God saying, "What is man that Thou, the Monarch of the Universe and the Ancient of Days are mindful of him?"

In Exodus 33:17, God said to Moses, "I am pleased with you and I know you by name."

Prophet Isaiah declared saying, "For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him". Isaiah 64:4-6 NKJV

God knows your name. God said in Isaiah 49:16, "Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me."

You are always in God's heart. If you have a headache,  He cares about it. If you have a challenge at work, in your business, family or marriage, He cares about it. If there is a flood or famine around you, He cares about it. Whatever your situation, cast your burdens unto Jesus for He cares for you. 

But how can we have such unfettered access to God and yet we don't pray? How can God be so eager to listen and yet we don't speak? How can God be so desperate to intervene, and yet, we knock on His door of mercy?

Get a grip on this solemn truth, you are significant in the eyes of God. His premium on you is so high that you couldn't be bought with mere money. Jesus gave His life for you and shed so much blood in the process because you are God's irreplaceable masterpiece and VIP. Let that sink in for a while.

Stay uplifted in Christ always and live Cheerfully every day.
